1. Suncheonman Bay National Garden (순천만국가정원)
The Suncheon Bay Garden is a perfect place to stroll on your day off and enjoy the huge garden with a variety of flowers. What makes this garden unique is you can also enjoy an International garden, allowing you to visit countries like Holand, China, Thailand, US and other countries at once. Suncheon is located in Jeollanam-do which is 2 to 3 hours by KTX from Seoul station. Getting to the garden from Suncheon station is fairly easy as buses and taxes are available all the time, and the fare is not high since the garden is located nearby.
By paying 8,000won you can enter both Suncheonnam Bay National Garden and Suncheon Bay Wetland Reserve.

[Bus] From Seoul Central City Bus Terminal, take an express bus to Suncheon Bus Terminal. From the bus terminal, walk west about 250 m to Sungo Five-way Intersection (순고오거리) and turn left (south). Walk about 150 m and catch Green Bus no. 101 by the GS 25 convenience store on the right (west) side of the street. Ride the bus for 9 stops and get off at Suncheon Bay Garden bus stop (순천만정원 정류장).

2. Suncheonman Bay Wetland Reserve (순천만습지)
As I mentioned before, by paying 8,000won for the Suncheonman Bay Garden, you can also enter Suncheonman Bay Wetland Reserve. The wetland is located 10 minutes away from the Garden by taxi. You can also ride a small train called SkyCube from the Garden but sadly it is not opened all the time.
The fields in Suncheonman Bay are thickly covered with reeds taller than a full-grown man. It is the biggest colony of reeds in Korea. The image of the entire field swaying in the wind is as dazzling as waves on the sea.This place is also famous for its sunset scenery!

[Subway+Bus] From Suncheon Train Station, walk to the right along Palmaro st. about 100m and cross the street.-Take Bus No. 67 and get off at Suncheonman (순천만). Take an intercity bus to Suncheon Intercity Bus Terminal. Transfer to Bus 67 or 69, and get off at Dosa-dong Office. The restaurant is located across the street from the bus stop.
